Immunohistochemistry in gynecologic pathology.

Abstract

Although most diagnoses in gynecologic pathology are established through the examination of routine hematoxylin-eosin-stained slides, immunohistochemical studies can be of assistance in some cases. The following case studies are used to illustrate the value of some relatively new markers in the diagnosis of gynecologic neoplasms and to highlight potential diagnostic pitfalls.
